Corey Power and Craig Hamilton both earned second team All-Central honors for their efforts in 2012.  Power, who was named AC Offensive & Defense, anchored the Tigers on both sides of the ball.  The senior did it all for Marple Newtown, including serving as the punter in the season ending win over Penncrest.

Craig Hamilton was named second team as a Tight End.  Occasionally lining up in the slot, the athletic Hamilton caught five passes for 72 yards on the season.  Craig’s ability as a run blocker helped produce over 2,000 yards rushing for Tiger backs.

Five Tigers earned Honorable Mention:

Joe Vegso, Senior, Linebacker & Wide Receiver: A leader on and off the field, Vegso logged 63 tackles, returned a fumble for a touchdown and intercepted a pass.  Offensively, Joe hauled in 21 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns.

Ross Binder, Junior, Defensive Back:  Binder’s two interceptions against Haverford marked a career-high for the junior.  Ross recorded 3 interceptions, 6 pass break-ups and 61 tackles.

A.J. Cunningham, Junior, Defensive Back: Cunningham finished second on the team in tackles (82),  had 3.5 tackles for a loss (including one sack), 2 forced fumbles and an interception return for 74 yards.

Mike White, Junior, Defensive Back:  With White and Binder as bookend corners, the Tigers boast a pair of All-Central honorees.  Mike intercepted a pass and had 37 tackles on the season.

Ed Graham, Senior, Offensive Line: Graham helped solidify a Tigers offensive line that led the way in over 2,700 yards of total offense and won four of their last five games.  The senior played on both sides of the ball and special teams.

Anthony Rosanio, Senior, Running Back: The scrappy senior was not on the field for three plays during the Tigers entire 2012 season; a testament to Rosanio’s heart and intensity.  Rosanio gained 906 yards on 156 carries, with 7 touchdown runs.  Anthony also served as the Tigers kick & punt returner, netting 1,146 all-purpose yards on the season.
