Lower Merion: Marquis Gee
Lower Merion’s Marquis Gee had 172 yards on 4 kick-off returns (43.0 average) including one kick-off return that went 93 yards that ended in a touchdown.
Gee led the Ace’s defense with 5 tackles and 2 pass break-ups.
Marple Newtown: Kyle Kelly
The Tiger’s Kyle Kelly had an outstanding game on defense Friday night against Lower Merion. Not only did Kelly lead Marple Newtown in tackles with 7, including a tackle for loss for -1.5 yards, but he also recovered a fumble and returned it 6 yards for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter.
In the 2nd quarter, Kelly played a key role in forcing a safety along with teammate Brian Brosko.
