Matt DeStefano

Matt is an assistant coach with the Marple Newtown football program working with the wide receivers and defensive backs.

He spent four years at Conestoga High School where he was a defensive backs and wide receivers coach for the Pioneer’s squad.

Matt graduated from Conestoga High School in 2006 and played cornerback and wide receiver for the 2004 and 2005 Central Athletic League Championship teams. While playing under Chris and Harry Gicking at Conestoga, Matt earned All Central League and All Main Line honors.

After high school, Matt attended Dickinson College where he continued his career playing cornerback for the Red Devils. During his four year collegiate career, Matt helped Dickinson win a Centennial Conference Championship in 2006 and led the Centennial Conference in pass breakups his junior and senior years (2008-09).

A Cum Laude graduate of NCAA Division III Dickinson College, Matt earned his degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2010. Currently, Matt is in his third year of medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and plans to graduate in 2016.

Matt’s younger brother, Andrew DeStefano, currently plays wide receiver for the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall College (NCAA D-III).

Currently, Matt resides in Berwyn, PA.
