SPRINGFIELD, PA – On a Sunday afternoon late in January while the NFL sat idle, preparing for sports greatest stage, the Marple Newtown football family spent a couple of hours together reflecting on their historic and memorable season.

The 2006 Marple Newtown Football Team Banquet once again convened at the Lamb Tavern Restaurant on Sunday, January 28th, 2007. This event was sponsored by the Tiger Football Boosters Association.

The 2006 recipient of the Brain “Woody” Peoples Memorial Scholarship was senior OG/DE Kevin Talley.

Junior DE Pete Massaro was honored for his accomplishment of earning a spot on the AP AAA Pennsylvania All-State team (second-team).

The coaching staff took turns honoring the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. Coach Gionta honored the seniors and recapped their accomplishments and the season.

TigersCast was on hand to catch all of the action including speeches given by coaches and players along with the presentation of various awards. Enjoy.
