MN’s Final Charge Wins in Final Minutes

Cimirrow Moat would pick up a loose fumble and return it 44 yards for the Tigers’ touchdown. Marple Newtown would not hold the lead for long. Penncrest would put together a long 7 minute 18 second drive to tie the game up at 7-7. With the momentum, the Lions would continue and take a 14-7 lead. The Orange and Black would answer with a scoring drive of their own. Ryan White would punch in a 7 yard touchdown run to tie the game up right before the half. Key defensive stops described the second half of play. Defensive game changers were Brian Kelly andChristian Whiteside who both recorded 10 tackles. As a team, the Tigers’ defense recorded 6 caused fumbles. Still tied up with only a few minutes to go, the Tigers were on the prowl. Driving down the field, the Tigers had a golden chance to score. On the goal line, Ryan Duffy would push through the line to what would be the game winning touchdown. The Tigers would win by a score of 21-14. Duffy had a great performance in which he racked up 115 yards on 21 carries. White assisted Duffy putting together 9 carries for 54 yards. The Tigers will look to use this momentum next Friday night against Upper Derby at Harry Harvey Stadium.
