Marple Newtown coach Ray Gionta was named Philadelphia Eagles Coach of the Week on September 25.
Gionta was honored during the Eagles-Giants game. The Coach of the Week program awards high school coaches for their hard work in the community and dedication to young people.
Gionta has led the Tigers to three victories, including a 24-7 decision over Strath Haven, the reigning District One Class AAA and co-Central League champions.
