The Tigers traveled to Ridley on Friday evening, battling the perennial powerhouse Green Raiders.  The game was played through constant rain, heavy at times, especially in the first half.
The scoring did not get started until late in the second quarter.  Ridley scored with 3:30 remaining in the first-half to take a 6-0 lead.  The Tigers blocked the extra-point and headed into halftime trailing by the same score.
After an Anthony Nicolardi touchback began the second half, Ridley scored on the opening drive to take a 13-0 lead.  Another rushing touchdown at the end of the quarter made it 20-0, but the Tigers showed life as Cimirrow Moat returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for the score.
Ridley added one more score, making the final 27-7.
Marple Newtown (3-1, 2-1) returns home next Friday night to take on the Lower Merion Aces.  Kickoff is 7:00. The game will also be hosted on Tigers Radio Network with Greg Pecko, Christo Garvalas and Vincent Gallo.
