Marple Newtown pulled out a 14-8 victory against Radnor for their second win of the season.  The Tigers were able to rush the ball effectively the entire night, allowing them to hold onto the win.

It was a career type of night for Adrian Sapnas, who rushed 23 times for 189 yards and one touchdown.  Sapnas displayed his breakaway speed in a 82 yard burst for the end zone that occurred in the second quarter.

Sophomore Abel Hoff continues to showcase his speed in this Marple Newtown offense, breaking off a 49 yard touchdown run.  Hoff finished the game with 15 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown.

The Tiger defense had a great performance by only allowing six points, while the other two came from a safety.

Leading the way once again on defense was A.J. Cunningham.  Cunningham led the team in tackles with 10, as he now has posted 44 for the season.

Nik Rhoads finished the game with 7 tackles.  Nick Volpi was another Tiger who had a big game defensively, contributing 5 tackles and one sack.

Overall, it was a great win for this young Marple Newtown team that is starting to build momentum.

The (2-4) Tigers return to action Friday, October 11, as the (3-3) Ridley Raiders come to Harry Harvey Stadium.  The Tigers Radio Network will be providing full coverage of the game, which kickoffs at 7 PM.
