If it’s not from the Philly Pretzel Factory, it’s not a real pretzel.

Each week, the Tigers Radio Network will select a “Player of the Game” from each team. The Players of the Game is sponsored by the Philly Pretzel Factory.

These are your Philly Pretzel Factory Players of the Game for Week # 11 – Chichester at MN, 11-7-14:

Chichester: Kevin Miller

The Eagle’s Kevin Miller led Chichester’s offense carrying the ball 16 times for 107 yards (22 long, 6.7 ypc).

Marple Newtown: Adrian Sapnas

Marple Newtown’s Adrian Sapnas carried the ball 20 times for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns (65 long, 15.2 ypc). On special teams, Sapnas had 1 kick-off return for 22 yards and accumulated 326 yards all-purpose.

Sapnas set a new single game rushing record at MN with 304 yards, breaking his previous record set this season in September against Strath Haven. It’s the third time he has broken the record in 2014. In addition, he ended the season with 2,110 rushing yards breaking the previous record held by Steve Coyne since 1983 (4th all-time in Delaware County history for a single season). In only 18 games in his MN career, Sapnas accumulated 2,923 rushing yards and is the new all-time rushing leader at MN breaking the previous record held by Matt Moccia (2003-2005).

For the season, Sapnas had 24 rushing touchdowns (2nd all-time in MN history) and 2,376 yards all-purpose.

The Philly Pretzel Factory and the Tigers Radio Network congratulate these athletes for their commitment to excellence and good sportsmanship demonstrated during the game.
