The Marple Newtown football program will be volunteering in the community to help fight against pediatric cancer at the annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) event held this Sunday, June 7th at 10:45am until 4:00pm at Veterans Park in Broomall, PA.

This year’s ALSF event is going to be a double elimination volleyball tournament. For the second year in a row, a Marple Newtown football player will be the guest speaker at the event. Cameron Mathes did a great job last year and at this year’s event, Michael Shelly, will be the guest speaker. Two great kids that we are fortunate to have represent our football family, school and community. Please take a look at the video from last year’s event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5Fa2rVngK4

Please join us with family and friends to enjoy a DJ, a LIVE radio broadcast by the Tigers Radio Network, a playground for the kids, great raffle items and delicious food being made fresh on site by locally owned MN Alumni businesses – My Way Entertainment and Mark Anthony’s Paisanos. Marple Newtown football players will be doing their part by volunteering their time the day of the event. Sunday is going to be a great community event for a great cause!

If anyone is interested in participating in the volleyball tournament, would like to volunteer or would like to make a contribution, please visit the SPIKE Childhood Cancer event page or contact/email Steve Reynolds at (610) 506-9540.

This will be a family-friendly atmosphere and is open to the entire public as there will be plenty of raffle items, lots of great food/event items for sale, a playground for kids, a DJ and much more.

Let’s all do our part by helping fight pediatric cancer, because no one FIGHTS ALONE!
