It’s getting harder to recognize the typical sights when taking a drive through the Marple Newtown campus, but the familiar sights and sounds of football were in the air on Saturday morning at Harry Harvey Field.
The Tigers hosted the Chichester Eagles in their annual scrimmage, running about 50 plays in the teams first preseason contest of the year. The teams also enjoyed a post-game barbeque, thanks to the Marple Newtown Booster Club.
The scrimmage was a good opportunity for players to work against a different opponent, and marked the end of the first week of camp. Week two starts on Monday for the Tigers and will end with a scrimmage at Harry Harvey Field against Academy Park at 10A.
