The Tigers passed their first road test of the year on Friday, besting host Penncrest 41-0 in Media.  The Tigers improved to 2-0, while Penncrest fell to 0-2.
Cimorrow Moat set the tone again this week for the Tigers, running for four touchdowns.
Moat got the scoring started with a 25 yard touchdown with 5:52 left in the first quarter to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead after Anthony Nicolardi tacked on the extra point.
The Tiger defense was stellar again tonight with their second straight shut-out.  The defensive line was in the Penncrest backfield all night doing a great job stopping the run, and shutting down the Lion passing game.  The biggest defensive play came with 4:37 left in the second quarter when Joey Pham intercepted a pass and took it back to the house for a 37 yard touchdown return to give the Tigers a 14-0 lead after another Anthony Nicolardi extra point.  Up until that time Marple was having some trouble moving the ball on the Penncrest defense, but Pham’s interception really swung the momentum of the football game.
Moat’s momentum was just starting to get going right around the same time.  He would add on 3 more touchdowns to really put a strangle-hold on the game.  Cimirrow’s best run of the evening came with a little more than 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter.  Moat danced through the Lions secondary and took off for a 67 yard touchdown.
Parker Maas added a fourth quarter touchdown, is second lonhg touchdown run of the season.  The 46 yard scamper gave the Tigers a 41-0 lead after another Anthony Nicolardi extra point.
The Tigers will be home next week to take on Central League favorite Strath Haven.  Kickoff will be 7:00 at Harry Harvey Field.  The game will also air on the Tigers Radio Network.
