NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Strength and conditioning for football players at Marple Newtown is in full-swing as the players wait for a new head football coach to be named by school district officials. The goal is to enhance each player’s success, and in turn the team’s success.

Lean muscle mass helps athletes avoid injury and heal more quickly if an injury does occur. When muscles are strong, they are prepared to support the whole body through rigorous and intense competition. That is why the training occurs long before the season begins.

From the first step into the weight room after school, it is evident that the group of students is taking seriously the adage that football season starts in the weight room, working together and pushing one another toward a common goal while trying individually to be the best player they can be.
